I think this is up there as one of my most replayed IFs, of which there are few...
I am unsure if you are aware of this or if it is an intentional thing, but I seem to be having trouble with the saves. After I entered 3 saves, it wouldn't let me fill any additional save slots. I don't mind that so much, but it wouldn't let me replace saves either! So I was only allowed to save 3 times and none after that! I couldn't load saves, either.
Did not distract from the quality of the game, though :) Just thought it might be useful to report should it prove an issue.
I really liked the story, amazing job on writing this! I think I may be sort of addicted now (I've already played it five times, but we don't talk about that)... but I had one question. Is the full game going to be free or paid? (if it's going to be paid, how much is it going to be?) thanks, and sorry if this has already been answered and I missed it ^^
The game will be paid, yes. And as for the price, when one hosts through Hosted Games (who own the coding language the game is currently made in) I don’t think the creator gets to set the price 🤔 so I really can’t say. It would most likely be up to them.
But from what I have seen the prices are similar to books and small indie games rather than full priced games. Additionally some of their games get steam releases and if so I think there’s steam location pricing which lowers with certain currencies 🥰
YES! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. Just taking something off my chest real quick but I hate when a adaption of Sherlock Holmes makes Holmes and Watson hate each other, or feel like Sherlock is dragging him around while he rolls his eyes. THEY ARE HUSBANDS 😭😭😭(in this case also wife), but even without the shipping THEY LOVE EACHOTHER pls. This right here is perfection

does the new update break all saves? no matter which save i load, it just puts me into the start of chapter 6. it also seems to have reset my choices, because it plays as if hamish's offer was refused?
while I’m surprised if it did break the variables connected to the saves as i didn’t change much there, choicescript does generally require a restart at each new update, sadly.
I recommend restarting from scratch at the ch4 quick start if you’re able.

i'm ngl, i've been seeing this IF pop up for such a long time on the COG forums and whatnot, but the character creation part always made me go nope, not worth reading, despite the fact that i'm a huge historical-anything enjoyer. i ended up playing this on a late-night whim and holy shit?? peak??
i *really* enjoy everyone's dynamics, and the pacing felt great

😆 that CC is, I swear, the most divisive thing in the whole game. I have some plans on how to make it more palatable for some, by adding a (quick CC) version and the reg long one. And then for replays to add a code one can input so one doesn’t have to do it over and over. But I can’t do that until the CC is 100% finished and won’t change. But for the future!

this is one of my favourite games! usually i don't like playing historically set games but this one has my heart. it's so well written i cried when Gregory shouted at me and i refuse to make him a lover now. nevertheless, it's an amazing game and i can't wait for the next chapters to come out
As the last chapter just came out publicly, there’s no set new estimated deadline, I’m afraid. The chapter will have some updates on Patreon at the end of the week, though, and these will eventually end up on this public version ☺️
Uhm I love it?? The humour is so incredible, every sentence had me giggling. I enjoy the scenarios Sherlock ends up in. All the characters are fleshed out and not 'perfect'. They are endearing and so very flawed (looking at you Lestrade, you meanie).

The interactions and responses available are great and I love just how in-depth you can create your personality. I'm still smiling and giggling over how adorable Jane is when she's jealous and I can't wait to see more!!
I know Sherlock Holmes is not an autistic character, but I can't help but resonate a lot with this MC. The feeling like the world is ending when you've got nothing to hyperfixate on, the mention of a scattered focus, becoming overstimulated, wanting to go home to find relief...
I have not yet finished the game, but my goodness! This is just... Beautiful. I especially love how your choices can really lead to different outcomes, like the order in which you choose. This was one of the reasons why I haven't finished yet, too busy trying to see all options. You can imagine all the saves I have, haha.
I have just passed the part where John barges in on Hamish catching Sherlock, and damn! They both literally squared off. I find it especially endearing how defensive (?) John was, it was very cute.
I am, however, quite saddened that a polyamorous relationship is not possible. They are all just so charming. Though, you did mention that there are other relationship shapes (?) that are possible. If Sherlock ends up in one of those, yet chooses one person to romance, would that affect our relationship with other characters? Example, I choose 'romantic' options with John, yet still choose to pursue Hamish, would that affect his relationship with me? Though I feel like he would be the most accepting, the sweetheart.

😆 There's a period-appropriate version of "skill issue" in one chapter, but I can't remember where... If I can think of a way to sneak in "no shit sherlock" I'll do it lol!

The game does have many romance dynamics though, and situations like Love triangle/square/pentagons, and it won’t force you to choose for a long while! (I know this is a fear for many) ❤️
All I can say is..WOW. Definitely did not expect this to be so amazing! I absolutely love the given choices, the romance and the characters. Cannot wait for more! (English isn't my native language so pardon me if I made no sense, there's simply not enough words in my vocabulary to describe this masterpiece :D)
